Zerakys was born in the Altar Cave to a mother and father that was actually a very vicious snake. After living in this cave with its mother, its father didn't return back for many months until one day, he came back to the cave with a large snake egg in his mouth. Zerakys then hatched out of this egg and had its first major encounter with a Bulbasaur, who bit Zerakys on its head but didn't actually seem to do too much damage. After the encounter, Zerakys was taken care of and nursed back to health by its mother, who also took Zerakys to visit her family.
